The sky’s the limit!

A local ceiling specialist is expanding its services to clients by launching a range of skylight products.

Dry Build Solutions was established in 2006 and provides a range of partition and ceiling works to the domestic, retail and commercial markets. It offers stretch ceilings and suspended ceilings as well as metal stud partitions, dry linings, plastering and renovation work. The business’s latest move is to take this one step further by adding skylights to its portfolio of products and services.

Operating from premises at Hartlepool Enterprise Centre on Brougham Terrace, Dry Build Solutions is jointly owned by Michael Sherry and Stephen Green and together they employ three members of staff.

Michael says: “We are currently in talks with a supplier based in Shildon, County Durham and we will become their approved fitter in the North East region, so the arrangement will be beneficial to both parties.

“The skylights offer an easy and affordable way to bring daylight into poorly lit rooms or to those that have no natural light at all. They consist of a ‘sky tunnel’ which feeds light directly from the roof of the house or building down into the chosen room. They can be vented if required and can incorporate lighting for use at night-time.

Stephen adds: “It is a proven fact that natural daylight is good for our health, but the skylights also save energy costs on artificial lighting and therefore reduce the environmental impact too. They are really popular in Holland and are starting to take hold here in the UK too.”

The duo will be looking to promote the new service to existing and new customers in the coming weeks via leaflet drops, advertising and sales activity and hope word will spread of this exciting new opportunity.
